When one pair caught attention with their dance moves to a well-known American soul band’s renowned song, it made others recollect.
In 2018, Sophie Allaf and Thomas Audon, a French couple, began dancing together. They did, however, develop a love for dancing from a young age, which explains why they always seem to move with ease when they dance.
Allaf, for example, began studying ballet when she was five years old. Audon, on the other hand, began learning ballroom dancing at the age of seven, which is rather extraordinary. Not to mention his ability to do acrobatic rock ‘n’ roll.
They were named boogie-woogie champions not once, not twice, but four times, as if their dancing videos weren’t enough to convince everyone of their talent. Despite winning the world championship title twice, the two remain humble.
In addition to competing in various international competitions, they employ their skills by educating others and passing on their knowledge.
To reach a larger audience, they established a YouTube channel. They may now easily teach others to dance while also showing off their own moves in the comfort of their own homes. It is also open to the public.
They won many fans’ hearts in June 2021 when they performed a dance cover of The Contours’ 1962 classic «Do You Love Me.» Given that the song has twice charted on the Billboard Hot 100, it’s hardly surprising that so many people are familiar with it. It sold one million copies when it was initially published, which was a huge feat for artists at the time. The song was then successful again in 1988.
The song, which Allaf and Audon used to record their dance routine in their living room, made others reflect on their own lives.
As of this writing, the video has earned 4.7 million views on the platform.
The majority of those who commented on the video said they loved it and couldn’t stop smiling as they watched the couple dance.
«I was 76 years old when this song was released, and it was one of my favorites at the time.» I’m thrilled that this duo devised a dance routine for it. Because it is so simple, we SENIORS could learn how to do it at my Senior apartment exercise class. It would also be a lot of fun. Thank you so much for brightening my day. That man moves so well! «I like it a lot,» one man commented.
«This 70-year-old woman was suffering from a headache and couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night, but now I’m grinning from ear to ear.» I admire how well you both move. Thank you very much!» said a different individual.
