He was young, but he had an experienced, grown-up voice that the judges and the public could relate to.
It’s understandable why he made such a lasting impression given how he mesmerized the audience with his contagious smile and said the iconic line, “Baby, lock the door and turn the lights down low.”
Willie’s performance was definitely the best of the others, and it seems like he has a bright future in the country music industry. I wish I could see the tape of his audition so I could see his talent for myself!
