We didn’t believe my son when he told us about strange noises coming from behind his room’s mirror until one day we checked and discovered something awful 😨😱

Lately, my five-year-old son has been acting rather oddly. Especially at night, he grew anxious and terrified by every small sound. I assumed it was simply his age, perhaps a period, sensitivity, or imagination. Every child experiences it.

But each day it grew worse. He would cry as he ran into our bedroom after waking up in the middle of the night and would keep saying the same thing:

I hear them. They’re muttering. Someone is present.

I first made a joke about it with my hubby. We then made an effort to soothe him. I gave him a hug, patted his head, and said:

It’s only a dream, my dear. Nobody is present. We looked.

We looked everywhere in the room, including behind the curtains, in the closet, under the bed, and of course, behind the large mirror on the wall, several times for his comfort. Nothing.

However, everything changed yesterday.

I was watching a movie with my hubby in the living room. It was peaceful and quiet. Our son burst in, his face twisted with terror, his lips quivering, tears flowing down his cheeks, and he yelled:

— He’s returned! Behind the mirror, he is! The beast! I hear him!

— Son, — my husband said, — we have discussed this.

— Get him out of here! He is present! He’s hissing, I hear!

With a heavy groan, my husband got to his feet. I went with him. There was silence in the son’s chamber. Too silent. The air was only somewhat tense.

“There,” our son said, gesturing toward the mirror. – He’s present.

We came closer. looked. Quiet. However, there was a moment when I thought the mirror could have moved a little. Very slightly, as though a slight wind had blown by. Abruptly, my husband rushed forward and tore the mirror from the wall.

And we both yelled at that very moment.

A massive black snake slithered in the space between the wall and the drywall behind the mirror.

The rustle of its scales against the concrete was gentle. My son had heard that sound. He was telling the truth. He sensed it.

We phoned the rescuers right away. Only the specialists were able to remove the reptile from the wall. As it happened, it had somehow slithered up from the basement and taken up residence in the small gap between the paneling and the wall, which is exactly where the mirror was hanging.

The mirror has now been taken out. The wall has been repaired. And I came to a crucial conclusion as a mother:

I’ll always have faith in my son. even when he discusses monsters. Children can pick up on things that adults simply don’t want to see.
