The significance of grandparents in the lives of their grandchildren is indescribable.

These folks are “the best kind of grownups” for countless reasons. Those of us who were fortunate enough to grow up with them are the luckiest of us all. They are a little bit like parents, teachers, and friends.
It had been some time since Erica Lusher and her kid had seen her parents. She chose to surprise her parents with a visit since she was upset that she and her boy had to spend some time apart because to COVID-19 restrictions. They traveled 800 miles, but the journey was well worth it.
Erica and her son went into the local Florida restaurant where her parents were eating lunch. The boy’s grandparents’ response has been incredibly touching.
The grandma, who is in total astonishment, is the first to notice them.
The grandfather weeps with happiness in his eyes upon seeing his grandson. Trying to make sense of what is happening, he says “Buddy” and throws his arms around the youngster.
