The judges were quite aback to see that the Phoenix Boys dancing group had only three sessions when they appeared on the Britain’s Got Talent 2024 audition stage. The boys had already made the audience laugh by reciting a mixed list of the places from Kent to Glasgow and Cheshire to Manchester where their members had been chosen, so their swagger was evident as soon as they came out. However, they had no idea how wild the response to their once-in-a-lifetime tryout would be.
Numerous street dancers have competed for the championship on BGT. Is it possible to see an entire street occupied with male ballet dancers?
The Phoenix Boys, who combined modern interpretative dance and traditional ballet with an exciting, acrobatic edge, enthralled the audience from the very first step. The strength and breathtaking elegance of this remarkable performance were tripled as more and more boys joined in on the beautiful backflips, cartwheels, pirouettes, and lifts as the routine progressed. More than half a million people have already viewed their amazing audition on YouTube!
Before the audience gave renowned dance judge Bruno Tonioli a standing ovation, the judges were stunned into silence. With an intensity never seen in BGT history, he smashed the Golden Buzzer so hard that it broke in two, then smashed the button.
